Women's Retreat:  Strength Within - Women of God

The world today can be so overwhelming. We are chipped and even crushed with troubles and trials we endure. However, with a rock solid foundation with Christ, Women of God will shine and reveal our strength within. Spiritually, mentally, and even physically strong women are called by God for His purpose. Now is the time we need to rise up and glorify Him with our strengths. What makes you strong?

The Strength Within Women's Retreat is designed to help women of all ages understand their strengths and the various ways they can share them.

2023 Fall Festival

The Fall Festival and annual chili cook-off was held on Saturday, November 4th. All those who attended had a wonderful time.

100th year Anniversary of the statesboro primitive Baptist church building

On Sunday, October 15, 2023, the Statesboro Primitive Baptist church celebrated its 100th year anniversary for this current church building. The program for the day included a presentation by Deacon Emeritus Rodney Harville titled, "One Hundred Years" and another presentation by Jane Cason titled, "One Family". There was "Dinner on the Grounds" held after the morning service. Many memories were shared as well as much good food. The Spirit as well as the body was fed.

Breakfast Unites Community and Team Spirit at SPBC

On a crisp and sunlit morning of Friday, August 18, 2023, the community spirit was palpable as church members opened the doors to host a heartwarming breakfast for the beloved hometown football team. The event, which aimed to strengthen ties between the church and the local sports enthusiasts, turned out to be a delightful fusion of camaraderie, laughter, and shared enthusiasm for both faith and football.

The breakfast provided a platform for the community to extend their support to the football team in a more personal and communal manner. Church members, greeted the players as they entered, making them feel like cherished guests in their own town. It was a beautiful display of how sports and spirituality can intertwine, fostering unity and a sense of belonging.

This breakfast at the SPBC not only fortified the bond between the community and its football team, but also exemplified the strength that arises when people from different walks of life come together to celebrate shared values. As players and church members departed, the echoes of laughter and the warmth of connections lingered, a testament to the power of a simple meal in fostering a sense of togetherness.

Mountain Men Conference

The Mountain Men Conference was a great success! Men from all ages came together to glorify the God of the mountains by magnifying His Word in a context where the Holy Spirit would have free course to make stronger Christian men who are willing to climb the hills, walk through the valleys, or move mountains. The focus of this conference was "Give Me This Mountain", cited from the scripture verse in Joshua 14:12. This conference was held at Camp Hillview on May 5-6, 2023. The conference began with registration at 5:00 PM on Friday, May 5th followed by supper, singing, preaching and fellowship. Saturday included three messages from God's mountain and a session on Christian character building. 

Feed the Flock

On Friday, March 3, 2023, Elder Randy Waters and his family served food, fellowship and gospel bluegrass music for all those who wanted to attend. This was a special time of good food (Butts by Bill) and even some "surprise" meats! The entertainment for the evening was the bluegrass family band, "Headin' Home". Everyone in attendance really enjoyed this time and look forward to the next annual "Feed the Flock".

Christmas Cantata:  When We Needed A King

December 11, 2022

A marvelous night was enjoyed by all who attended the Christmas Cantata performed by the SPBC Choir. The program was "When We Needed a King". Refreshments were served in the social hall after the performance. Congratulations to Khai, our Music Director for such wonderful program.

Father's Day

June 19, 2022 All the ladies of the church sang to the father's in the congregation.

Sunrise Service on Easter

April 17, 2022

Sunrise service was an awesome event. To watch the sun rise as you are worshipping is a wonderful experience. After the worship service, a delicious breakfast was served for all.
